As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. You will drive system architecture, technical velocity, and cross-organizational alignment across critical infrastructure components powering Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will design high-scale horizontal systems that internal producer teams and millions of external users rely on daily. We look for proactive end-to-end ownership—you won't just be executing tasks, but actively defining our long-term North Star architecture, establishing technical strategy, and shaping our platform roadmap. You will deeply understand the rationale behind your technical direction, author and review critical design standards, and align complex engineering solutions with core business goals.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
