As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. In this role, you will own the strategy, scoping, and technical outcomes of database solutions in GCP.

Be involved in the end-to-end life-cycle - from initial requirement gathering and architectural design to development, testing, and long-term maintenance of database solutions for hardware products. Lead, manage and architect streamlined structures across various database systems on Google’s GCP environment. Navigate challenges, make open-ended problems tractable while influencing designs and technical excellence. Integrating AI/ML methods to solve problems and improve productivity, such as utilizing AI for live data analytics and employing Terraform to automate critical infrastructure.

Familiarity building data pipelines from component suppliers, subassembly houses, and OEMs/ODMs, and restructuring and organizing data.
