You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products. As a Customer Engineer in Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) GTM, you will partner with sales and engineering to architect and deliver complex hybrid, sovereign, and air-gapped cloud solutions. You will act as the technical expert for strategic Japanese accounts (including public sector, defense, and telecommunications), driving critical technical discussions around OEM hardware sizing (e.g., HPE, Dell, NVIDIA GPUs), secure hybrid network topologies (LAN/WAN), sovereign compliance, and closed-network AI deployments.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between Google Cloud’s product engineering and our key customers, working closely with local System Integrators (SIers) to align on secure on-premise infrastructure and guide high-level discussions on the boundaries that link local environments with broader cloud services. You will solve highly ambiguous, non-standard architectural challenges, ensuring that every proposed deployment accelerates our customers' digital transformation while keeping their data completely sovereign.
