As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. In this role, you will build next-generation Large Language Model (LLM) agents (e.g., BAA and BHAA) that act as virtual business analysts for more than 2M merchants across Google Shopping.

You will implement agentic tools and reasoning pipelines that explain performance shifts and deliver actionable business guidance across surfaces.People shop on Google more than a billion times a day - and the Commerce team is responsible for building the experiences that serve these users. The mission for Google Commerce is to be an essential part of the shopping journey for consumers - from inspiration to to a simple and secure checkout experience - and the best place for retailers/merchants to connect with consumers.
