You'll make critical recommendations for your fellow Googlers in Engineering and Product Management. You relish tallying up the numbers one minute and communicating your findings to a team leader the next. Google’s Global Patents Team is an inspiring team of innovators and attorneys who are passionate about future technologies and excited about resolving their ensuing legal challenges. As a member of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement Google's strategy to protect, defend and capture the value of Google’s technological innovation.

You will dive into varied and interesting tasks that include patent-related protection, licensing, dispute resolution, acquisition, deals and policy work. As a Senior Global Patents Data Scientist, you will be focusing on applied data and AI solution creations and experimentations. You will use a variety of tools and languages to make sense of large amounts of patent data, one of largest legal data corpus in history, generate AI enabled patent-specific applications, contribute to novel statistical and machine learning models, work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to constantly search for ways to make existing workflows and processes more efficient with AI.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
