As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. The Search Content Platforms' mission is to understand and organize the world's content to power the best Search+ experiences, enabling disparate sources and modalities of content accessible and connected.

In the first decade, Google’s mission was to organize web content and connect users to information via 10 blue links. In the next decade, we built an answer engine and a rich set of domain-specific, immersive (vertical) Search experiences. Now, we offer an AI-forward, multimodal information experience, leveraging broader content availability and the advances in AI capabilities to harvest and organize our content. The mission is to build a content platform that uses AI to minimize or eliminate the effort for both content providers to share their content with Google, and vertical teams to expose the content to users.
