About the job A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all.
That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Build and operate an integrated infrastructure planning capability that covers the 0-10 year horizon, transforming product demand, infrastructure constraints, and financial objectives into actionable capacity decisions and a unified infrastructure Plan of Record.
As a Capacity Planner, you will help translate evolving product demand into actionable infrastructure capacity plans across compute, storage, network, data center, and other infrastructure resources. You will work with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Planning teams to integrate demand, capacity constraints, planning assumptions, and investment decisions into a coherent infrastructure Plan of Record. In this role, you will have an opportunity to build a broad understanding of hyperscale infrastructure while contributing directly to how Google plans capacity across multiple time horizons.
