Job description

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments. Experience with data center equipment/environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, or fire safety systems).

Experience with project management. Experience in vendor management.

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of fast-track design build processes/associated documents and agreements, and electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge of start up/commissioning processes. As a Data Center Services Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the development and operation of our data centers. You will partner with our local/regional facility managers, plant engineers, and design and construction teams to develop creative and scalable solutions. You will provide leadership and management for the team delivering computer farms, networking, AC and DC power distribution/conversion, and cooling methods at multiple scales.

You will manage complex schedules, budgets, and inter-dependencies. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible.
