T HE ROLE

Join the AMD I/O IP team and contribute to the design of host controller IP for next-generation high-speed I/O technologies with speeds up to 40 Gb/s. You will help AMD maintain its leadership position in high-speed I/O technology.

THE PERSON

A successful candidate will work in an IP design team . The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.

K EY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in the design and development of host controller IP based on next-generation I/O architecture requirements. Develop RTL code for IP blocks using Verilog HDL. Ensure the design is functionally correct and reusable across different product lines. Solve complex technical problems and provide effective solutions. Make technical decisions and contribute to design improvements. Coach and mentor junior engineers.

P REFERRED EXPERIENCE

Good knowledge of USB 3, USB4, or Thunderbolt. Knowledge of PCIe or AMBA is a plus. Strong experience in Verilog RTL design for large digital IPs. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong planning and scheduling skills, with a proven ability to meet project milestones. Ability to solve complex, new, and challenging technical problems. AI-assisted design experience is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 9 years of experience with a Master's degree, or 11 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
