## Job description

Logistics done differently. Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, permanent Nights Manager to join us based at our Swindon site. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective running of our transport function.

### Pay, benefits and more

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

### What you’ll do on a typical day
- Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient service As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
- Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
- Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures
- Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
- Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication What you need to succeed at XPO: It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment
- Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours Computer literate as will be answering email, dispatching drivers, and compiling handovers.

Team building experience. Experience in a fast-paced, time critical environment. Some transport experience dealing with C+E drivers would be beneficial.
