## Job description

At Wise, we are on a mission to move money globally with ease, transparency, and complete accuracy. To support our continued growth, our Accounting team in Tallinn is looking for a Finance Payment Journaling Specialist. If you bring strong financial expertise, take proactive ownership of your work, and thrive in a collaborative, international environment, we would love to connect with you.

### Your Mission

Record all movements on internal bank accounts. Execute month-end closing tasks. Prepare bank account reconciliations. Assist in providing documentation for internal and external audits. Manage recording-related queries via email, Slack, and Jira. Contribute to continuous improvements in our recording and reconciliation processes. Support team lead with projects. Assist with risks and controls related to financial records.

## Qualifications

### What We’re Looking For

Must be currently based in Estonia with valid work authorization. Ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and take initiative. Strong experience in bank reconciliations and bookkeeping/journal entries. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Cooperative mindset with the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Understanding of core accounting principles.
