How will you make a difference? Bloom Engineering Company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers throughout the United States. As a customer-facing representative, this role serves as onsite technical support for the commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial combustion and heating systems. This position requires a hands-on professional capable of independent problem-solving, technical analysis, and strong customer interaction in industrial environments. What do we want to know about you? ### Required Qualifications Associate degree in engineering technology or applied sciences from an ABET-accredited program - Bachelor’s degree preferred, specifically in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or an equivalent technical discipline) For candidates with less than - 4 years of applicable experience, reasonable proximity to the Pittsburgh headquarters is required to support onboarding and initial training Fluency in English Able to write reports in English to summarize findings and work completed OSHA 10-Hour and NFPA 70E safety training (or ability to obtain) Valid driver’s license Valid passport or ability to obtain a passport Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time (90+% of this travel will be in the US) Desired Characteristics Previous field experience with industrial combustion systems, burners, furnaces, or other heat-processing equipment Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems - Ability to calibrate, use, and analyze data from mechanical and electrical instruments - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics - Familiarity with PID control systems and instrumentation Experience following and troubleshooting PLC ladder logic - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in communicating in Spanish - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications - Ability to work independently and adapt to changing field conditions - Strong desire to learn and grow within a technical field service environment What will your typical day look like?
