The Retail Store Design Intern will support fixture design, development, and implementation at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. We design and develop retail stores within the parks in North America. Our team is highly motivated and creative. This role supports Store Design and Fixture development to ensure Disney’s expectations for quality and excellence are met. In addition, this internship will demonstrate how the store design process works and how it integrates with the broader Store Design/Visual team. This exciting internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2027 to June 2027. ### What You Will Do Coordinate with key internal and external business partners to confirm/verify fixture requirements and requests Craft and develop fixture presentation drawings for review, approval, and implementation Lead and manage the fixture shop drawing submittal and review process, including design intent, constructability, etc. Have a strong understanding of retail standards/principles Please Apply If You Have/Are - Proficiency and experience in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D rendering software, SketchUp, and/or Rhino - Ability to read architectural plans and shop drawings, and present conceptual designs - Excellent written and interpersonal skills Collaborative and displays attention to detail - Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and handle deadlines - Ability to analyze detailed information and take appropriate action Digital literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint It Would Also Be Great If You Are Familiarity with financial planning software or retail analytics tools Education Junior or Senior year preferred Major or previous coursework in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial - Design, or a closely related field Required Materials A portfolio review is required for this position. Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through June 2027 Fully available Monday – Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida-based Disney Interns through American Campus Communities.
