Assists with internal audits, pathogen swabbing root cause, and corrective and preventive action. Assists when food safety issues arise. Conducts and documents assigned sanitation activities to ensure the facility and equipment are maintained properly. Maintains and receives sanitation supplies, tools, and utensils. Conducts routine maintenance, preventive cleaning activities, and special cause cleaning activities. Maintains facilities in accordance with government food safety and quality standards (for example, CHS and Good Manufacturing Practices) by conducting validation testing and product evaluations. Provides input to the Sanitation Manager and Chemical Contractor to provide best chemical options for sanitation of the plant. Collaborates with FSQA team to ensure compliance with the Safe Quality Food Code Food Safety manual. Follows Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), food safety codes, and other applicable laws and requirements. Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines, including using personal protective equipment, operating machinery and equipment safely, reporting any hazards, near misses, injuries or accidents immediately, and actively participating in safety trainings and drills. Maintains cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents and contributes to the continuous improvement of all safety protocols. Maintains awareness of surroundings to ensure personal safety, and the safety of others. Adheres to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Utilizes the Open Door Policy. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices. The hourly wage range for this position is $21.90 - $27.40* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
