Managing the process of categorizing and reviewing item level attributes to assign proper taxability. Bring sales tax and systems experience to become an active participant in the day-to-day maintenance of Walmart’s current sales tax systems while preparing for the full launch to Tax Modernization. Effectively communicate tax technical requirements to technology and other internal and external partners. Possess the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and provide guidance and support to other STO associates. ### What you'll bring 3-5 years of indirect tax experience that includes a mix of sales tax, use tax, regulatory fees, excise tax, transaction tax, gross receipts tax, and technical concepts. 1-2 years of hands-on sales tax engine experience including system integration work, rule creation, and other system management. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., JD, LLM, Master's, CPA, or CMI) related to Taxation is preferred. Past roles in industry (retail and/or ecommerce) and/or consulting (Big 4). Strong tax research and writing skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
