As a Strategic Sourcing Intern, you will be exposed to the business and provided with hands-on projects and experiences, such as working on 7-step sourcing projects, using data and analytics to support decision-making for the business. In this role, you will work directly with various stakeholder departments to help drive value generation for the larger organization. ### Essential Functions - Assist with various tasks and projects assigned by supervisor and team members. - Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing projects or initiatives. - Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies. - Participate in team meetings and provide input or suggestions as appropriate. - Support the development and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools. - Adhere to company policy. - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. - Seek opportunities to learn and grow in field of interest. - Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently ad within specified deadlines. - May perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents. - Attend/complete training as needed to enhance skills and knowledge. - Other duties as assigned. ### Critical Competencies - Communication - Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, while actively listening and adapting the message to the audience. - Team Player - Works cooperatively and effectively with team members to achieve shared goals, willingly assisting others and fostering a positive and productive team environment. Quickly establishes rapport and fosters positive connections. - Work Ethic - Committed to high-quality work, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and personal responsibility in fulfilling job duties. ### Commitment to Learning - Applies intellect to the fullest, welcoming activities that require one to stretch. - Adaptability - Adapts to new conditions, is flexible and open-minded when facing challenges, and maintains high performance during change. ## Responsibilities ### Education - Must be currently enrolled and be in good standing with their College/University and be pursuing a degree in a related field to the internship. - Junior or Senior level is preferred. ### Experience - Previous work experience is a plus but is not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of Data warehouse technology, visualization solutions like Tableau, ingestion technologies, SQL, Python, and other similar technologies. - Excellent computer skills and experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Mail. - Good oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. - Should demonstrate tenacity and the ability to work on teams, take instruction, the desire for learning all areas of the work involved. - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Motivated, self-starter; Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as part of a team well. - Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges. - Able to relate to all levels of people ### Other Requirements - Some travel may be required. May require driving between operating locations. - May involve exposure to dust, dirt and noise. - May work in an office setting and that requires sitting/standing for extended periods of time. - If in an operations setting must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time. - Requires the use of computerized equipment and technology. - This position requires knowledge and awareness of site hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Oracle Business Environment and other software packages relevant to the position. - Weekly meetings of Google meet with other interns with Division Training Manager. - Prepare a presentation summarizing their training near the end of the program to be given in front of Managers/Supervisor, HR and other interns.
