Among our programs is The New Orleans Institute, a nationally recognized trauma treatment program. For the past 40 years, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma-based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders. ### Position Overview Employment Type: Full-time Hospital Employed Schedule / Hours: Onsite, Monday–Friday Patient Volume: negotiable, 15-20 daily caseload Location: Harahan, LA (New Orleans) ### Practice Setting Inpatient ages 18 and older, all ages for weekend call Call requirements: 1 night a week, overnight telephonic call, 1:4 weekend call Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary with BH Techs, BH RN, Psychiatric NPs, Social Workers, and Therapists Position Highlights/Duties: Competitive compensation package with employed base salary, comprehensive benefits, sign-on bonus, PTO, CMEs and more. Position duties include evaluations and assessments, medication management, treatment team management, daily care of patients and administrative duties as related to patient care. ### Requirements Graduation from an accredited Master’s level Nurse Practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatry, PMHNP certification is required. Must have an active LA license and DEA or the ability to obtain it. Must be willing to treat ages 12 and older for cross coverage and call and very comfortable treating dual diagnosis, chemical dependency, and addiction patients for daily caseload.
