Provide medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population. Direct the implementation of behavior management programs/plans and ensure consistent carry-through. Make patient & task assignments to subordinates & monitor their performance of duties. Provide training & education to staff, patients, families, & others. Document patient care, ensure that data is accurate, & that it is included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu. Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Experience: Preferred: One-year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred. ### Licensure/Certification Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License Current North Carolina Driver’s License Current CPR Certification CPI Certification Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients. Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects. Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures.
