Gulfport Behavioral provides a full range of treatment options, including outpatient therapy, day treatment and inpatient services for children as young as 4 years of age, adolescents, and adults. We are dedicated to helping patients develop the skills necessary to live a life of long-term recovery and health. ### Position Overview Role: Full-time psychiatrist Patient Population: Child/Adolescent and adults populations Schedule: Monday-Friday Caseload: Will vary Weekend/weekday Coverage: one weekend a month is preferred Employment Type: 1099 Key Responsibilities: Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients. Participate in daily treatment team meetings. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines. ### Supervision of NP on unit Compensation and Benefits 1099 Qualifications: Education: Board Certification in General Psychiatry or BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus. ### Training Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program preferred. ### Licensure Mississippi medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it. ### Experience Must be comfortable treating child through adult populations.
