As a full time, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. ### Schedule This full-time, nonexempt position will work up to 40 hours/week in a variety of shifts. ### Location Gardena, CA Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy utilizes CPOE and ADC-Pyxis with Pyxis automation/software. Pharmacy hours are Monday - 7:00am-8:30pm; Tuesday-Friday - 7:30am-8:30pm; and Saturday & Sunday - 8:00am-4:30pm. Remote pharmacy services are provided overnight and after these listed pharmacy hours. ### Primary Responsibilities - Prepares and dispenses medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist - Assists pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency - Prepares and compounds medications (including IV admixtures and sterile products) following hospital protocols and USP standards - Delivers medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units - Maintains medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates - Supports medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation - Collaborates with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery Complies with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. ### Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED Current California certified pharmacy technician license in good standing - Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office - Proven effective communication skills; verbal and written Preferred Qualifications: PTCB/CPhT IV and compounding experience Pharmacy technician experience in a hospital pharmacy setting Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
