As One Bank, we are committed to helping our colleagues build sustainable careers grounded in purpose, supported by strong values, and enriched with meaningful opportunities to grow. ### Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Director, Portfolio & Liquidity Management, Global Markets to lead the management of corporate fixed income portfolios across investment-grade, and emerging market credit strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating risk-adjusted returns through active portfolio construction, credit selection, sector allocation, and relative value positioning, while adhering to investment guidelines and risk parameters. This role requires a strong understanding of global credit markets, macroeconomic trends, and corporate fundamentals, combined with the ability to translate investment insights into portfolio outcomes. ### Key Responsibilities Manage corporate bond portfolios in accordance with investment objectives, mandates, and risk limits. Develop and implement investment strategies based on macroeconomic, market, sector, and issuer-level views. Conduct portfolio construction, security selection, duration management, yield curve positioning, and sector allocation. Perform fundamental credit analysis and assess issuer creditworthiness, valuation, liquidity, and relative value opportunities. Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, tracking error, and compliance with investment guidelines. Identify and execute investment opportunities across investment-grade, and emerging market corporate bonds. Collaborate with stakeholders to execute transactions efficiently and optimize portfolio liquidity. Monitor global credit markets and evaluate the impact of economic, geopolitical, and regulatory developments on portfolio positioning. Present investment strategies, portfolio performance, and market outlooks to senior management. Oversee portfolio liquidity, ensuring adequate cash and liquid asset buffers to meet liability obligations, and tactical investment opportunities. Conduct liquidity stress testing and scenario analysis to assess portfolio resilience under adverse market conditions. Optimize liquidity profiles while balancing return objectives, risk budgets, and regulatory or client mandate requirements. Support new product development and contribute thought leadership on credit markets and fixed income investing. ### Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline. CFA charterholder or progress toward CFA designation preferred. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in corporate bond investing, fixed income portfolio management, credit research, or institutional asset management. Demonstrated experience managing corporate bond portfolios with a track record of investment performance. Strong knowledge of global credit markets, fixed income instruments, and portfolio risk management techniques. HKMA Type 1 & Type 4 license holder Member of Treasury Markets Association (TMA) is preferred Holder of ECF on Treasury Management accredited by Treasury Markets Association is preferred Technical Skills Deep understanding of corporate credit analysis, bond valuation, credit spreads, and relative value assessment. Experience with portfolio analytics, risk attribution, duration management, and performance measurement. Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytical tools. Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities. Familiarity with ESG integration within fixed income investment processes is advantageous. ### Key Competencies Strong investment judgment, portfolio construction skills and liquidity risk management. Ability to generate independent investment ideas and articulate conviction-based views. Demonstrated experience managing liquidity risk within fixed income portfolios. Experience with liquidity stress testing, cash flow forecasting, and liability-driven portfolio management. Familiarity with regulatory liquidity frameworks and liquidity risk governance for institutional portfolios. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong stakeholder management with the ability to engage senior executives and other stakeholders. Collaborative team player with a high level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to perform effectively in dynamic market environments. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced fixed income investor with a deep understanding of corporate credit markets and a proven ability to deliver consistent risk-adjusted performance. You possess strong analytical capabilities, sound investment judgment, and the ability to navigate changing market cycles while identifying attractive investment opportunities across the corporate bond universe.
