### Role Summary

We are looking for a Camera Hardware Engineer who will take ownership of camera system design, validation, and optimization for UI’s product lines. This role involves designing high-speed, high-reliability hardware, performing bring-up and debugging, and collaborating with global cross-functional teams to ensure the best product quality and performance. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge SoC and image sensor platforms, contribute to the next generation of IP and wireless cameras, and be part of a team that values innovation, simplicity, and impact.

### Responsibilities

Perform high-speed signal design and analysis, ensuring proper impedance control and EMI/ESD compliance. Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and system validation using lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, TDR, network analyzer, etc.). Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams on system integration, tuning, and production readiness.

Drive DFM/DFT improvements and support prototype builds, EVT/DVT validation, and root-cause analysis. Evaluate new image sensors, ISPs, and SoC platforms for upcoming product designs. Maintain detailed hardware documentation, BOMs, test reports, and validation records. Requirement 2+ years of experience as a Camera Hardware Engineer or related hardware design role. Solid experience in camera system debugging and issue analysis.

Strong understanding of high-speed signal design, including impedance control and power integrity. Proficiency with OrCAD Capture CIS, Allegro Viewer, and Power PCB Viewer. Good knowledge of electronic components (R/L/C, Diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, Logic ICs, Sensors). BS/MS degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field. Strong knowledge of ESD/EMI protection and design principles. Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test equipment for hardware bring-up and validation.

### Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with UI camera systems, edge devices, or IP camera platforms. Experience with AC power systems of the Doorbell Camera. Experience with HomePlug / PLC design or PoE-based systems. Experience in Solar Camera, Hunting Cam, or Battery Camera design. Experience with camera systems above 20MP resolution or high-speed MIPI interfaces. Experience with 5G RedCap Camera or wireless edge camera design. Knowledge of network configuration, sensor subsystems, and SoC integration. 5+ years of hardware design experience and leadership in cross-functional projects.

Strong ownership mindset, self-driven, and proactive in problem-solving.
