Located after the cage dumper; is the first chain driven operation. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back. The hangers will place any DOAs into DO barrel at end of conveyor. ### Rehire Eligibility Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 181-day waiting period before you can reapply. ### Number of Times Worked at Tyson You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times. ### Relocation Assistance Eligible No Work Shift: 2ND SHIFT (United States of America) Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
