The role requires deep financial accounting expertise, strong people leadership, and effective business partnering across Finance and other functions. The successful candidate will operate confidently in a large, complex multinational environment, set clear priorities, and ensure the team consistently delivers accurate and timely results. As a key contact for internal customers, the role is expected to communicate effectively at senior levels and build strong stakeholder relationships. ### Key Responsibilities - Lead the Financial Accounting team within the Manila GBS RtR organization. - Oversee the timeliness and accuracy of US GAAP financial reporting. - Mentor, coach, and develop finance professionals, fostering a high-performance and customer-first culture. - Act as a key contact for business customers and partner closely with other GBS departments and functions on projects and initiatives, including legal entity rationalization and productivity optimization. - Chair monthly business reviews with customers and provide clear updates on performance, priorities, and issues. - Perform balance sheet deep dives and present findings and outcomes to relevant stakeholders. - Ensure required financial compliance and SOX control measures are executed consistently and without exception. - Drive operational excellence across the team and its core accounting activities. - Lead and promote a continuous improvement culture, taking accountability for projects that contribute to annual productivity targets. ### Required Skills & Competencies - Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, develop, and mentor teams; set clear expectations; and provide effective guidance and support. - Proficient communication skills at a senior leadership level. - Strong problem-solving and analytical capability. - Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects and deliver to agreed timelines. - Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business needs and priorities. - Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills. - Proven judgment and sound decision-making ability. - Demonstrated diplomacy, integrity, and high ethical standards. ### Qualifications & Experience - Qualified Accountant, or equivalent qualification gained through relevant experience, with at least 10 years of professional experience, including 4+ years of people management experience. - Proven experience in Controllership, Management Accounting, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). - Deep knowledge of Accounting Operations. - People leadership experience at management level. - Experience working in a large corporate environment, supported by strong organizational capability. - High level of proactivity and demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement. - Ability to drive growth through effective decision-making.
