In this role, you will be responsible for leading the systems safety engineering efforts and supporting the development of complex military systems\. Your expertise and technical knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the successful design, integration, and implementation of cutting\-edge defense technologies\. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross\-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our military customers\. _Responsibilities_ We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for: - Working as part of a multidisciplined team during the development phase of complex systems that require critical safety controls - Executing system safety and software safety programs including analyzing explosive, mechanical, electrical, and software systems for hazards - Developing system safety architectures and oversight of implementation and verification of hazard mitigations at both system and subsystem levels while assuring compliance with other key system performance requirements _Qualifications_ - B\.S\. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline with 9 years of relevant experience - Demonstrated ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings - Demonstrated ability to understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and understand circuit and interface failure modes that could lead to a hazard - Demonstrated ability to understand software and data interfaces to assess potential failure modes that could lead to a hazard - Demonstrated experience \(or interest in specializing/learning system safety\) in the following areas is a plus: - Perform hazard analyses on mechanical, electrical, and software systems - AOP\-52 Software Safety Design and Assessment of Munition\-Related Computing Systems - U\.S\. Army Fuze Safety Review Board \(AFSRB\) and Ignition System Safety Review Board \(ISSRB\) - MIL\-STD\-882E System Safety, MIL\-STD\-1316F Safety Criteria for Fuze Design - Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance _How We Care_ At Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful\. The pay range should be used as a general guide only\. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations\.
