## Job description

As a Software Engineering Intern – Compiler, you’ll join a team of highly skilled engineers in Sugar Land, TX developing compilers for TI's Arm based microcontrollers and proprietary Digital Signal Processors. You'll be working closely with a mentor and the overall team during the internship.

Responsibilities include:
- Adding/improving the functionality of TI's LLVM/Clang based compiler infrastructure for microcontrollers
- Adding/improving the functionality of TI's proprietary compiler infrastructure for DSPs
- Working with application and architecture teams to improve compiler performance

## Qualifications

### Minimum Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related
- Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA Preferred Qualifications: Strong C and C++ programming skills Experience with object-oriented design, debugging, performance analysis and testing and assembly language programming
- Knowledge of computer architectures
- Knowledge of software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle Experience with scripting languages - Python, Perl
- Ability to clearly explain highly technical and complex concepts Compiler design courses
- Familiarity with LLVM/Clang or other compiler infrastructures
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
