Thermal management is a key factor in many of the attributes that make Tesla vehicles redefine the automotive world. To achieve fast charging, unrivaled range, ludicrous performance, exceptional cabin comfort and low running costs relies on a deep understanding and careful manipulation of the underlying physical principals. You will be responsible for developing the fluid dynamics aspects of our ground-breaking powertrain thermal management and HVAC systems in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment. Your expertise will be applied to everything from the high-level system layout and performance scoping, to the detailed aerodynamics of flow distribution, pump impellers and fan blades, noise reduction, particulate and gas filtration, water management, heat exchangers, and more. This is a position where analytical skills and creativity are most highly valued; an ability to apply fundamental aerodynamic principals to quickly and effectively solve open-ended problems is far more important than experience with particular tools or software.
