## Job description

The Role He / She will develop and lead the procurement strategy for indirect sourcing and category management initiatives for indirect procurement across APAC region. This role is expected to develop strategic business relationships with external suppliers and internal business leaders as well as other internal key stakeholders, lead contract negotiations, drive cost savings initiatives and implement strategic sourcing best practices enhance cost and compliance improvement, and streamline procurement process.

### Responsibilities

Manage the full procurement cycle, overseeing the process from request initiation to the finalization and signing of contracts. Develop strong stakeholders’ support and cooperation at assigned sites. Ensure that spending is under management and contract compliance. Supporting business planning and savings within budgetary milestones. Establish measurement tools/metrics to monitor progress. Implement strategic agreements to consolidate suppliers/spend.

Lead the process of data collection and analyzes of spend data. Design, conduct and synthesize supplier, industry, and market research for assigned commodities to develop sourcing strategy. Provide analysis of existing requirements and pricing to ensure the most cost-effective options. Support to identify suppliers available for sourcing. Supervise the issuing of RFP for sourcing assigned commodities. Review, analyze and clarity quote packages from suppliers.

Support/Lead a strategic sourcing approval process. Gathering historical spend data and mapping in defined category classification, and work out spend outline summary Conduct market research, and supplier evaluation to identify spend categories with cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities. Work closely with IT and global system operation team to improve procurement system functionality, automation and also enabling the spend data accurate and consistent recorded based on category.

Adhere to company policies and procedures, proactively identify and report hazards and incidents, submit safety recommendations, and create a safe working environment through continuous improvement.Practice the safety culture of "Safety First, Everyone's Responsibility" and “See something, Say something, Do something.

### Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher, engineering preferred. 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or sourcing roles, preferably in indirect categories. Excellent analytical and judgment skills. Advanced excel skills a must have. Strategic Sourcing, Opportunity Analyses, and Contract Negotiations a must. Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement. Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and solve problems.

Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders. Fluency in English. APICS certification is a plus.
