[Apply on Tesla’s careers site →](https://app.mokahr.com/campus-recruitment/tesla/41460#/job/a0b2fe0f-680d-499f-b5e7-a7f65f915419) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Tesla](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/tesla/) / 电力电子机械实习生Mechanical Design Intern –Power Electronics ## Job description THE ROLE As a Mechanical Design Intern in Power Electronics team, you will assist the team to design, prototype, validate, release and launch components for Power Electronics named PCS (Power Conversion Systems) in TESLA powertrain, charging and energy products. PCS family includes On-Board Charger, Off-Board Charger, DCDC and so on. ### RESPONSIBILITIES - 3Dmodeling and interference analysis in CAD for PCS products and its components e.g. heat sink, PCBA, connectors, chokes, transformers, etc. - Tolerance stacking and 2D drafting according to GD&T - Participate in DFMEA’s and support PFMEA’s - BOM preparation and design release in PLM; design change control - Perform CAEs e.g. static structure, modal analysis, thermal, CFD and so on to know the cause-effect relationship of design elements - Plan and perform tests to correct CAE setup - Support DV & PV tests, to be cooperated with reliability teams - Support local supply-chain parts readiness & quality, to be cooperated with supplier industrialization / quality teams - Support giga factory Shanghai products readiness & quality, to be cooperated with production / quality teams - Problem solving of design related issues popped up in reliability tests, manufacturing and field application - Visit suppliers for part qualifications, design change reviews,line audits, etc. ### REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s a plus - Technical fluency in either English or Mandarin (both languages together is a plus) - International study or work experience a plus - Strong engineering fundamentals in heat transfer, fluids, mechanics, and electronics - Proficiency in CAD modeling. CATIA V5/V6 experience is a plus but not mandatory - Proficiency in CAE simulation.
