Greet patients entering the physician practice. Answer office phones, making, confirming, and rescheduling appointments when necessary. Check in patients, collect accurate patient demographics, enter data into the electronic system, and verify insurance. Assist in checking out patients and assist them with referral processing and scheduling. Collect co-pays and post charges. Perform charge entry and patient balance processing. Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and information about the practice. Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal. ### Qualifications Education: High school diploma/GED required with completion medical office assistant program preferred. ### Certification Prefer healthcare management/administration certification. ### Experience Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
