The educator acts as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff at Tenet Healthcare. The Nursing Educator implements a comprehensive education program for his/her assigned units while following and contributing to Tenet educational goals and vision. Educational programs typically include, but are not limited to, orientation, continuing education, and in-services. Other services may include, but are not limited to, process, performance and service-delivery consultation, and contributions to the organization through councils, committees, and workgroups. ### Responsibilities Implement and manage nursing education programs to support orientation, ongoing competency, and professional development needs of nursing staff, aligned with the Tenet professional nursing practice model. Support educational needs across assigned units and clinics through classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and learning technologies. Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to preceptors, nurse residents, nurses, and other healthcare staff to promote professional growth and clinical excellence. Develop, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs such as continuing education, in-services, specialty curricula, and professional development activities to ensure staff competence and compliance. Ensure educational programs, policies, and procedures meet regulatory and professional standards, incorporating current nursing education research, adult learning principles, and quality improvement practices. ### Performs related duties as required Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing education, or related specialty Experience: 3 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting Licensure/Certification: Current state licenses and certifications #LI-MD2 Organization Description MetroWest Medical Center has been serving the community since we opened as the first public medical facility in Framingham in 1893.
