Applies principals of radiation protection. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service. Provides patient care to patients of all ages. Night and weekend call is required. Proficiency in PACS. ### Responsibilities Obtains patient data before procedure - DOB, age, and history. Usually explains procedure to be performed, facilitates patient’s cooperation and alleviates anxiety - Utilizes proper Radiation Safety with patient, self, and others Always demonstrates working knowledge and proficiency with imaging equipment, including but not limited to: computers (acquisition and processing), dose calibrator, PACS, and Syntrac system Always measures dosage for each patient following correct procedures; observes established precautions against overexposure - Administers isotope dosage accurately following established departmental procedure; accurate records dosage administered - Performs related duties as required. ### Qualifications Required: Education: Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program with an Associate degree or equivalent required. ### Certifications/Registrations/Licenses Must be registry eligible. Registry completed with nine (9) months of employment. American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required. SCRQSA certification required. ### Preferred Experience Up to 1 year experience is required, 1 to 2 years preferred Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: ARRT and/or NMTCB registry preferred #LI-TL1 Organization Description Piedmont Medical Network - Fort Mill Hospital opened in 2022 to serve the growing and vibrant community of Fort Mill, SC.
