This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative surgical team dedicated to helping patients achieve long-term health and wellness through comprehensive bariatric care. The Nurse Practitioner will assist with perioperative and follow-up patient management while supporting continuity of care across the bariatric service line. This PRN opportunity is ideal for a provider seeking scheduling flexibility while remaining involved in a growing surgical specialty program. With no state income tax and a strong healthcare community, it’s an ideal location for both professional growth and an exceptional quality of life. ### Responsibilities Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination - Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care - Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources - Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and Tenet nursing policy - Ensures that all contact with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner Qualifications ### Education and Experience Includes minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job: - Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required Current Florida Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner License Current American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Provider required Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification for Health Care Provider required EMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred - Proficiency in a windows environment with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and the Internet is required - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and employees Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment #LI-MM5 Organization Description The Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group (PBHN), also known as Tenet Florida Physician Services (TFPS), is comprised of hospitals and care centers, a large multi-specialty physician group, various ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient diagnostic facilities spanning Palm Beach County.
