The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities for the purpose of ensuring the competent delivery of quality patient care. He/she implements, educates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. The Assistant Nurse Manager’s primary role is to take charge of nursing personnel; however, they may take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care. ### Qualifications EDUCATION: Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure. ### Preferred BSN EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred. ### REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. American Heart Association BLS Certification ACLS (AHA) required based on assigned Unit OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Computer Skills. #LI-NM1 Organization Description Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years. As both a community hospital and state-designated Level I Trauma Center, Delray Medical Center offers several specialized services including advanced cardiac and vascular facilities, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care and weight-loss surgery. Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital at Delray Medical Center is the only state designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in the county by the State of Florida.
