These services may include but are not limited to: initiation and monitoring of patients receiving continuous mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation to include BIPAP/CPAP therapy, delivery of prescribed medical gases, and aerosol therapy, pulse oximetry for oxygen titration, and administration and monitoring of all respiratory and therapeutic modalities which include aerosolized medications, sputum inductions, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas sampling and analyses. ### Responsibilities Demonstrates the ability to acknowledge, recognize, and access all applicable departmental and campuswide information needed for the performance of all assignments and responsibilities. Practices work habits which reflect adherence to all Federal, State and Regulatory Agency Safety standards. Demonstrates the ability to recognize problems during changing and emergency situations and the ability to choose an appropriate course of action. ### Qualifications EDUCATION: Minimum: Associates Degree - Graduate of an AMA respiratory therapist program. ### Preferred Bachelor's Degree EXPERIENCE: 2 year Vocational Training in Respiratory Therapy/will train new graduates. ### REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION Current Florida License as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC RRT credential, ACLS, BLS, PALS OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Skills in EKG, EEG and Holter Monitoring preferred. #LI-RR1 Organization Description Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years.
