Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. ### Responsibilities - Performs plumbing assignments for facility - Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing system in hospital, new installations and replaced old fixtures Studies blueprints, plumbing diagrams, etc. and installs plumbing systems and fixtures as ordered - Operates and maintains any equipment in the plumbing field - Performs tests to insure installations comply with safety regulations and codes - Maintains PM program on plumbing system in hospital - Takes lead role in emergency repairs and work crews - Operates and maintains generators - Works on generators and A/C chillers, maintain and tests - Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively - Maintains safe environment Addresses patient population-specific needs - Participates in Performance Improvement activities Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATION: Trade School MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years in plumbing trade. ### PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and carpentry REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas Journeyman Plumber license #LI-JH5 Organization Description Baptist Health System has more than 120 years history of caring for our community and making a positive difference.
