## Job description

Closing Date 28 October 2026 Title Deputy General Counsel, Sales & Purchase Agreement Compliance​ Reporting To General Counsel, Sales & Purchase Agreement Compliance​ Mission (Sources of Values)
- Provide timely advise for the effective implementation of energy procurement operations​ Accountability & Responsibility
- Evaluate and strategise on power purchase projects from legal aspects (including on new concepts and risk allocation) and development of relevant Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and ancillary agreements​ Strategise and negotiate draft agreements for power purchase, cross-border transactions and ancillary agreements​ As and when required, provide legal opinion on complex PPAs and fuel related matters in Independent Power Plant or TNB projects​ Discuss and strategise on ways to address legal interpretation on operational provisions in executed agreements​ Strategise, plan and prescribe on regulatory issues relating to energy procurement and power industry​ Strategise with originating unit, Management and external lawyers on how to present/defend TNB’s case in disputes addressed to arbitration under power purchase, cross-border transactions and ancillary agreements​ Ensure up-to-date and knowledgeable legal unit members​ Liaising with Management, regulators, ministries and stakeholders.​ To review and provide inputs on legislations and regulations, including providing input to the regulators and ministry​ KPIs % of completion of task on legal matters​ % of compliance with Risk Register​ % of outstanding legal issues resolved​ End Products PPA/SLA/Cross border agreements​ Ancillary Agreements​ Other non-power contracts​ Legal Opinion​ Dispute Management​ Amended documentation specifically on legal matters​ Competencies L1-Vision L2-Business Acumen L3-Engaging Others L4-Self and People Development L5-Accountability L6-Result Orientation F-Networking and Interpersonal Skills F-Risk Identification & Mitigation F-Report Writing F-Legal Advisory & Consultancy F-Negotiation Skills F-Legal Operations & Regulatory Requirement Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons)
- Masters or Professional Degree (MBA, LLM, CCEP-I)​ would be an advantage

### Experience Requirements Minimum
- 7 years working experiences​ Networking & Relations Regulatory Stakeholder and Management Division​ Office of CEO​ Office of Company Secretary​ Legal Services Department​ Suruhanjaya Tenaga​ Ministry​ IPP & TNB Generators​ External Lawyers​
