## Job description

Closing Date 28 October 2026 Reporting To Senior Manager, Operation Forecasting​ Mission (Sources of Values)
- Produce accurate and reliable load forecasts to meet system demand​ Accountability & Responsibility
- Review and refine operational load forecast​ Manage forecast-related operational matters (i.e. participate in DOCKET, Weekly Coordination Meeting, MetMalaysia discussions)​ Prepare and consolidate three-months ahead demand forecast incorporating short term trend and assumptions​ Model development and process improvements​ Monitor forecast performance accordance to the SBPI2: Load Forecast Accuracy and compliance to SBR​ Assist preparation of report, presentation and document for compliance and regulatory (e.g.

DSWG, Grid Code, etc.)​ Conduct High-level analysis related to operation forecasting such as weather contribution towards demand, holiday impact, etc.​ Competency development​ Manage software license renewal (Metrix ND/LT, weather)​ KPIs Annual MAPE for Revision forecast in the range of LMT >2.5, UMT <1.1​ Timely submission of Three-Months Ahead Demand Forecast​ Timely submission of reports​ End Products Daily​ Daily Error Analysis​ Monthly:​ Demand Deviation Report​ Annually:​ Forecast Performance Report​ Competencies L1-Vision L2-Business Acumen L3-Engaging Others L4-Self and People Development L5-Accountability L6-Result Orientation F-Electricity Demand Growth Relationship & Behavior F-Forecasting Techniques F-Load Forecast Simulation Studies F-Power System Engineering & Behavior F-Power System Modeling & Simulation Studies F-Technical Report Writing and Presentation Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering​ Certifications Experience Requirements Minimum
- 5 years working experience with 3 years’ experience in load forecast or related fields​ Networking & Relations Meteorological Department Malaysia​ Grid System Operator​ Suruhanjaya Tenaga​ Distribution System Operator​ Various department within TNB​ Itron​
