## Job description

Closing Date 28 October 2026 Title Senior Analyst Research Intelligence Reporting To Lead Analyst Capacity Planning Mission (Sources of Values) To enhance capacity planning capability and performance through application of research​ Accountability & Responsibility
- Conduct desktop analysis, research and benchmarking to enhance model and assumptions​ Produce independent views and technical advice on capacity planning related matters​ Conduct market research & intelligence gathering based on local and international governments’ policies, industry analysis, journals, technical papers, study reports, industry analysis and stakeholder engagements.​ Keep abreast of emerging trends, new technologies and requirements of MESI related to supply side modelling​ Translate complex concepts and analysis to practical applications and strategies in refining inputs and assumptions, enhance simulation models, analyse results and present findings ​ Build strong collaboration and partnership with internal and external scientific/ research agencies/ market analysts ​ Produce the ISP Input, Assumptions and Scenarios Report​ Provide expert insights on the long-term supply outlook, integration of new supply and resources, relevant policies and standards, resource adequacy and reliability ​ Support Government’s energy transition initiatives through collaboration and involvement in joint studies and industry working groups.​ Maintain strong stakeholder trust and relationship through clear, concise, and high quality written and verbal communication. ​ KPIs % adherence to the Grid Code of Peninsular Malaysia and Guidelines of Single BuyerMarket related to capacity planning​ Timely completion of ISP related activities (JPPPET)​ Timely completion of process improvement initiatives End Products Annually​ JPPPET Generation Development Plan​ System Development Plan Report​ System Development Statement​ ISP Input, Assumptions and Scenarios Report​ Quarterly/ Monthly:​ Quarterly research intelligence bulletin Competencies L1-Vision L2-Business Acumen L3-Engaging Others L4-Self and People Development L5-Accountability L6-Result Orientation F-Generation Capacity Expansion Simulation Studies F-Production Costing & Generation Fuel Mix Projection Studies F-Technical Report Writing and Presentation F-Energy Economic F-Power System Planning & Development Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, operations research or related fields

### Experience Requirements Minimum
- 5 years working experience with 3 years' experience in system planning or related fields Networking & Relations Energy ministry​ Regulator (Suruhanjaya Tenaga)​ Relevant ministries, GLCs and government agencies​ Relevant TNB Divisions and Departments​ Relevant entities (system operators, power producers, fuel suppliers, regulators,authorities)
