In this position, you will work closely with Product Management, customers, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams, contributing to products throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to industrialization and continuous improvement. Your main tasks Designs, develops, and optimizes cable assembly solutions for industrial customers based on technical specifications, customer documentation, concept drafts, and direct collaboration with customer Engineering and R&D teams. Evaluates and proposes innovative alternative design solutions leveraging proven components, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Performs product cost analysis, feasibility assessments, and supports the development and delivery of customer prototypes. Creates, maintains, and manages comprehensive product documentation, ensuring accuracy and effective digital lifecycle management. Drives Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and error-proofing initiatives to achieve robust, efficient, and scalable production processes. Identifies and implements cost optimization opportunities throughout the entire product lifecycle, including post-launch and ramp-up phases. Serves as a key member of cross-functional project teams, contributing technical expertise from concept development through product end-of-life. Plans, executes, and documents all required tests, measurements, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards. Collaborates closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering functions to ensure successful product industrialization and continuous improvement. Promotes and maintains a safe working environment by adhering to company safety policies, procedures, and best practices. What your background should look like Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail. Demonstrates a proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented mindset, with high levels of engagement, ownership, and motivation. Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design tools and engineering development processes is highly appreciated. Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Proficient in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level), with the ability to communicate effectively in an international business environment. Strong ability to interpret and create technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to manual and automated assembly processes, is considered an advantage. Knowledge of IPC standards, Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and SAP systems is highly desirable. Good understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements and quality assurance principles. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international project teams.
