The team coordinates, among other activities, advanced cabling projects for large-scale photovoltaic and wind farms, provides tender submission support for power utilities, and ensures technical support for TE Energy sales processes. The Technical Services Team is a key component and contributor to Professional Services. It works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Finance, and external stakeholders to provide technical support for tenders, projects, quotations, and day-to-day technical queries. The Technical Service Specialist supports cross-functional Product Management, Tender, Sales, Customer Service, and Project teams by providing technical expertise for comprehensive responses to requests for proposals, tenders, quotations, and customer-specific technical queries. Your main tasks Taking ownership of assigned product lines / GPLs, such as heat-shrink and cold-shrink LV, MV & HV cable accessories. Providing day-to-day technical support for Sales, Business Development, Customer Service, Tender Management, and Project teams. Defining, selecting, and verifying products and solutions applicable to customer-specific requirements. Creating, optimizing, and validating final BOMs for customized solutions. Supporting kit and BOM optimization to improve solution competitiveness, margin, and customer value. Coordinating type tests and following up on execution with relevant stakeholders. Actively contributing to tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and RFTs by providing reliable technical input. Performing cost estimation and supporting Product Management and Finance in cost-related evaluations. Coordinating technical topics with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Plants, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, and Technical Product Documentation. Supporting non-NPI part-number creation, technical documentation updates, and PII-related activities where required. Ensuring timely and accurate handling of technical queries in line with Technical Services role charter expectations. Escalating complex technical topics to Engineering or other expert functions when required and following up until closure. Maintaining knowledge of assigned product lines, applications, customer requirements, and market trend Your ideal bachground Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar technical discipline. Working knowledge of electrical equipment and insulation technology for industrial and utility applications. Hands-on experience in the installation of medium- and high-voltage cable joints and terminations is a strong advantage. Expertise in cable accessories and cable technologies. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical product support, technical services, application engineering, or a similar function. Experience in project management, technical coordination, or cross-functional task forces. Working understanding of power business operations, including utility and industrial applications. Good understanding of the energy industry and relevant business trends. Basic understanding of logistics, supply chain, cost drivers, and manufacturing constraints. Fluent English; an additional language is an advantage. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
