[Apply on Tata Consultancy Services’s careers site →](https://ibegin.tcsapps.com/candidate/next/en-IN/jobs/423089J) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Tata Consultancy Services](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/tata-consultancy-services/) / financial planning & analyst lead ## Job description ### Role Lead - FP&A Skill: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) ### Overall Experience 5 to 10 Years Shift Timing: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM Location: Gitanjali Park, Kolkata Education: - Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)​ ### Non-technical graduation in finance & accounts stream - B.com / M.com / MBA Finance ### Preferred Certifications - CA / CMA / CPA / Lean / Six Sigma Must Have Skills: - Financial Modeling & Forecasting - Analytical Thinking & Data Interpretation - Business Acumen & Strategic Insight Good To Have Skills: - Advanced Excel & BI Tools - Oracle, Hyperion ### Presentation & Storytelling Skills Role Purpose - The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage all the aspects of fundamental financial planning and analysis and prepare the reports on financial performance tailored to the needs of leadership - The purpose of the role is also to analyse data and understands the financial data of the organisation in order to perform variance analysis and identify key causes of business variances for performance measurement Key Accountabilities: - Prepare and gather data to support development of financial assessments and scenario analysis - Insert rate case filing inputs - Create Budget-to-Actual for Balance sheet - Create Budget-to-Actual for Profit and loss - Collect data and upload data into Hyperion - Variance Analysis - Creating meaningful graphs for customer senior management use Technical Capabilities / Skills & Technical Descriptors: Mandatory Skillsets: - Prepare MIS reports and dash boards - Spearhead periodical reviews and calls with stakeholders (Internal & external) - Exposure to Financial Analysis - Good exposure into escalation management and having prior experience into performance management. - Exposure to IFRS - Ability to handle audits (Internal & external) - Identifying the process gaps and provide solutions - Effective management of SLAs & KPIs Additional Desirable skills: - Certifications like Six sigma green belt / Train the Trainer will be an added advantage - KT / Transition experience will be an added advantage ### Managing cross functional training within the team Systems - Develop a moderate level of proficiency in the following systems: - MS Office suite. - Knowledge of Excel macro and MS access database creation - Good exposure in tools (Oracle, Essbase, Hyperion, etc) ### VNA & Language - Strong communication skills (oral & written) and having fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English - Can interact with customers in a profess ional, courteous manner Soft skills: - Shows genuine empathy to customers experiencing connection difficulties - Ability to handle difficult customer conversations and work under pressure - Actively identifies customer cues and responds appropriately - Able to communicate effectively across a group with diverse backgrounds - High energy, self-motivation with a high degree of accountability - Team leadership and client facing skills - Strategic orientation ### Collaboration & influencing Analytical skills - Strong analytical skills - Observant to system issues /new situations / etc Organisational skills: - Time management - Takes ownership of work allocated - Works well under pressure to meet SLAs and deadlines - High level written communication skills to interact with key stakeholders Business acumen: - 10 years of experience in to finance & accounts with a minimum of 6+ years into FP&A - Expert level domain expertise of FP&A - Business case decision support ### Budget to actual variance Analysis Other Requirements - Candidate should be ready to work in ANZ shift (2 AM to 12 PM) - Should possess a positive attitude to support the business - Should be flexible for working hours - Advance excel knowledge is mandatory - 5 days work from office is mandatory
