With a strong background in Electrical or Computer Engineering, you excel in Design for Test (DFT) methodologies and have extensive experience in digital IC design. You are excited by the shift toward AI-assisted and agentic EDA workflows, you see LLM-driven agents as a way to multiply your technical impact and are comfortable putting agentic tooling in front of demanding customers to deliver value What You’ll Be Doing: - Providing expertise for test solutions during design planning, budgeting, and implementation. - Conducting test methodology design rules checking during RTL coding stages. - Implementing and validating DFT techniques such as scan compression, core wrapping, and logic & memory Built-In Self-Test (BIST). - Generating and validating Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) patterns, including advanced fault models. - Participating in customer design and flow reviews to ensure seamless integration. - Analyzing and debugging diagnostics to resolve technical issues efficiently. - Supporting tape-out readiness by delivering high-quality test logic and test patterns. - Deploying and tuning agentic AI flows for DFT — scan insertion, ATPG setup, DRC triage, and diagnostics — at customer sites, and feeding real-world findings back into the product roadmap. ### The Impact You Will Have - Enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering tailored DFT solutions that meet their specific needs. - Driving innovation by developing and productizing next-generation test technologies. - Improving the quality and reliability of digital IC designs through rigorous testing and validation. - Contributing to the success of Synopsys by winning new customers through effective product demonstrations and evaluations. - Shaping how the industry adopts agentic AI for test by turning customer engagements into productized agent capabilities, shortening DFT setup and debug cycles from weeks to days. ### What You’ll Need - BSc with 7+ years/MSc with 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant fields of study. - Experience with RTL coding, DFT insertion, scan synthesis, ATPG, and MBIST architecture planning. - Excellent knowledge in pattern generation and silicon bring-up processes. - Strong understanding of protocols like 1149.x, 1500 ad 1687. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex issues. - Practical fluency with LLM-based coding assistants and agentic tools in an engineering workflow, and a clear point of view on where they can deliver value Who You Are: - An effective communicator with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely. - A collaborative team player who thrives in a project-oriented environment. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. - A proactive learner who stays updated with the latest technological advancements, including agentic-based workflows - Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. - Innovative and creative in developing new methodologies and approaches. ### The Team You’ll Be A Part Of You will join the Test Applications Engineering team under the Technical Sales Group at Synopsys. This team is at the forefront of delivering comprehensive DFT solutions, working closely with customers to integrate, validate, and bring up silicon designs. Collaborating with Solution Architects, you will help develop and productize next-gen test technologies, driving innovation and excellence in the field.
