## Job description

Subsidiary OmniSource Overview OmniSource is looking for a Safety Clerk to become part of our Safety Team. Ideal Safety Clerk will aid in all aspects of Safety Department operations and continue to make our safety culture world class.

### Responsibilities

Safety Training assistance – scheduling, preparation, auditing, tracking, reporting, and distribution of materials Safety equipment assistance (new hires & others) – lockout locks/tags, fall protection equipment, etc. Safety Calendar – assistance with tracking initiatives status Hazard Communication Program assistance – SDS database and chemical inventories management.

Incident Management System (IMS) assistance (incident tracking, reports, etc) Safety Audits (internal and external) assistance w/ prep & response Contractor Management assistance (Marsh, ISNetworld, hours, etc.) Worker’s Comp assistance Communications assistance (Safety Alerts, Toolbox Talks, etc.)
- Support all safety personnel with division-specific safety initiatives and programs

### Qualifications Required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office suite High school diploma or equivalent Preferred OHSA 10-Hour Course Completion CPR, AED, First-Aid Certification Degree in administrative field
- 2+ years clerical experience Experience with regulatory environment Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
