## Description

Responsibilities ✓ Attending to ailments of Officers/ Dependents/ Pensioners calling at the Bank’s dispensary. ✓ To make necessary arrangements for admission of the Bank’s patients at empanelled hospitals. ✓ Arranging tie ups with Hospitals and Diagnostic centers, their periodical visit and review. ✓ Referring employees to Hospitals/Diagnostic centers as per requirement. ✓ To attend Bank’s employees admitted in Bank’s various hospitals in case of necessity. ✓ Preparation of Budget, maintaining adequate stock of medicine at Bank’s dispensaries and ensuring proper use of medicines. ✓ Standardization of medical charges for each center. ✓ Scrutiny of Medical Bills including hospitalization bills of employees and pensioners. ✓ Medical examination of new recruits/promotes in the Bank including contract appointees as and when referred by the Bank and submit the reports to the concerned departments/Branches. ✓ Submission of suitable comments/opinions on references referred by various offices. ✓ To attend to the needs of the employees outside office hours whenever called upon in an emergency. ✓ To attend to the technical aspects of all new and diversified medical facilities extended as welfare measures. ✓ To oversee the administration of the medical department. ✓ To attend to all such matters which are necessary to run the dispensary efficiently. ✓ Coordinating the setting of Medical Board. ✓ Organizing wellness camps/ talks and carrying out preventive health care measures for our employees. ✓ Ensuring proper maintenance of dispensary; adherence to time schedule/ punctuality; ensuring maintenance of digital medical records of employees; ensuring eligible officers to undertake regular executive health checkups etc. ✓ Any other related work as and when entrusted by the competent authority. Qualifications and experience Mandatory: (AS ON 31.05.2026) MBBS from any recognized university/College approved by National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council. Preferred: Post Graduate Diploma OR Post Graduate Degree of MD / MS or its equivalent. Mandatory: WORK EXPERIENCE (a) Those having MBBS degree: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a General Practitioner reckoned (POST-BASIC as on the date of eligibility from the date of registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) QUALIFICATION) / State Medical Council. (Experience gained during internship will not be counted for eligibility). (AS ON 31.05.2026) (b) Those having post graduate degree: minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Practitioner reckoned as on the date of eligibility from the date of registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council. (Experience gained during internship will not be counted for eligibility). The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular Circle/ Office, should be proficient (reading, LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY writing and understanding) in any one of the specified opted local languages of that Circle/Office Location. The test of knowledge of specified opted local language of the applied circle will be conducted as a part of selection process. Candidate who fails to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language of the applied circle/Office Location as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language test. Local-language requirement for this circle: Odia.
