Follow all company policies and general plant rules (GPR’s) as outlined in the handbook. Maintain and monitor machine to make sure it functions properly. Understands each machines mechanical and system set-up; can adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs. Performs minor preventative maintenance and recognizes potential issues to avoid downtime. Verifies the completeness of carton contents and assures carton/bags meets quality standards. Places carton contents in most efficient spatial arrangement to minimize shipping costs. Maintains and tracks machine output by hour. Able to train new operators on machine operations and responsibilities. Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as organization and safety, housekeeping, verifying adequate materials and supplies are available. Work assigned overtime when necessary. Other duties as assigned. ### QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of safe machine practices. Solid organizational skills. Physical agility, technical ability and spatial understanding. Coordination and ability to keep up with machines. Aptitude to operate machine controls, solid PC skills with ability to utilize software to operate effectively. Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance. Self-motivated and desire to achieve high level of success. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Capability to work with minimal supervision. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all levels of the organization.
