Prepare, analyze, and present financial information to MPC management and other internal stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and manage financial models used for strategic financial planning and project analysis. Provide financial analysis supporting strategic corporate initiatives, including sales and marketing, regulatory matters, and budgeting. Prepare Financial Analysis responses to regulatory data requests. Participate on Company and systemwide teams addressing matters related to the Financial Analysis function. If you are selected as the successful candidate, you acknowledge that storm support is a requirement for all roles at Mississippi Power. This includes working during storm restoration efforts and outside of normal business hours as needed. ### Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Advanced degree or CPA designation preferred. ### Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to apply U.S. GAAP to financial analysis and assess the impacts to financial statements is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including evaluating assumptions, comparing scenarios and explaining financial statement impacts. Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver timely results. Ability to respond effectively to changing business needs. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to develop, maintain, and validate financial models. Basic project management skills. Working knowledge of utility accounting and regulatory frameworks is preferred.
