The R&D Chemist II is accountable for providing timely and accurate solutions to multiple company problems of moderate to difficult complexity. Primary responsibilities include leading projects in the areas of service requests, quality support for current product lines, continuous improvement initiatives, technology transfers, RM support, and other control chemist activities. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with development team to support development and commercialization of new technologies. Job duties include contact with other employees and access to confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Morikis Global Technology Center located at 6745 Miller Road, Brecksville, OH 44141. 10% Travel ## Responsibilities Designs and executes experiments, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations. Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of lab work and providing written updates and presentation of technical materials. Communicates with other departments/functions and has a wide network of resources and knows who their resources are. Function under limited supervision and be able to independently design experiments and write reports with limited review. Accountable for contributing solutions to moderately complex projects. Communicate detailed ideas concisely through written communication by writing technical reports. Comply with and displays knowledge of all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area. Travel for technical conferences and product commercialization support. Provide outside customer service. Train or mentor new or lower level chemists and technicians. Adheres to quality standards in accordance with the Global Business Management System.
