## Job description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert within the business, responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes and systems are production-ready, safe, and efficient. You’ll support both in-house operations and supplier integration, helping drive continuous improvement across manufacturing activities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Rheinmetall products and manufacturing processes to support operations and customer needs
- Lead supplier assessments, including capacity, risk, and technical compliance reviews and ensure alignment with production requirements
- Manage design adjustments to balance technical feasibility and cost
- Oversee the transfer of designs and prototypes into series production
- Create clear, safe, and compliant manufacturing instructions
- Coordinate with HSE and Operations for equipment and safety assessments
- Support quality checks, operator training, and tooling readiness with relevant teams
- Drive production improvements by optimizing methods, layouts, and tooling
- Lead on-site problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and work instructions
