Our Manufacturing Excellence team help us improve the efficiency, quality and safety of our manufacturing operations, and our Logistics Excellence team develop new and innovative ways to distribute our products to customers.About the role The Manufacturing Technician is a critical step in the development towards more senior operations roles. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The position supports continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety, quality, and GMP standards while helping meet production and customer service objectives.Your responsibilities Perform root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs to minimize downtime. Complete changeovers, maintain accurate maintenance records, and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize line performance. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE, HAZCOM, LOTO, machine guarding, and emergency response requirements. Report unsafe conditions, participate in safety audits and meetings, and support environmental, health, and safety objectives. Follow production documentation, work instructions, control plans, and GMP guidelines to ensure product quality and minimize waste. The experience we're looking for High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience. Ability to operate packaging lines and related equipment, including startup, shutdown, manual operations, and jam clearing. Experience with changeovers, washouts, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and equipment adjustments to maximize uptime. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, initiative, and ability to manage work independently. Proficient in using electronic devices for data entry and reporting. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industrial safety procedures. The skills for success Ability to work a standard 40-hour workweek, with overtime and weekend work as needed. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and perform frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with typical factory noise and temperature conditions. Consistently follow PPE requirements and all workplace safety standards.
